Your data
We only collect what we need to count your support and keep you updated. We never sell it, and we never share it with any political party.
Who we are
The Clean Fiver is a non-party campaign run by Wilson Logan. For data protection law, Wilson Logan is the controller of your personal data.
Contact: info@thecleanfiver.uk, or write to 37 Balfron Rd, Ralston, Paisley, PA1 3HD.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Registration reference: C2049914.
What we collect and why
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your name | To count your support and address you properly |
| Your email address | To send campaign updates and confirm your registration |
| Your postcode | To show support by constituency when we contact candidates. We only ever publish totals, never individual names. |
Legal basis: your explicit consent, given with the tick box when you register. Backing a campaign about political funding can reveal your political views, which the law treats as sensitive, so we only use your details with your clear agreement.
The voucher prototype
Nothing you enter in the voucher demo leaves your device.
The voucher code, postcode and party choices you try out in the prototype are handled entirely in your browser. We don't receive, store or see any of it.
Who else sees your data
- Our website host, Namecheap. Your details are stored in a secure database on our own web hosting account with Namecheap. Namecheap provides the server but does not use your data and only acts on our instructions.
- No one else. We never sell, rent or swap your data, and we never pass it to political parties, candidates or campaigners.
If our host stores data outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by UK-approved safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies, and we don't use advertising or tracking tools.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe, or until 12 months after the campaign ends, whichever comes first. Then we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your data
- stop or limit how we use it
- send your data to you or someone else in a usable format
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@thecleanfiver.uk or using the unsubscribe link in any email. We'll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll email you first.
